WE ARE LOOKING FOR AUDIOVISUAL EDITORS 

Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into finished content, primarily for social media

• Work closely with the editorial team to respect the tone and ethics of each story

• Ensure the protection of contributors — anonymisation, blurring, voice distortion where necessary

• Use the protected data platform exclusively

• Take part in editorial discussions and contribute ideas on formats and storytelling

• Be able to create bilingual subtitles (English and French) and speak English

Profile

​

• Experience in video editing and/or audio production

• We use VEED, which allows us to generate translated subtitles

• Able to work with stories of exile, trauma and resilience

• Understanding of the ethical considerations involved in editing testimonies from people in vulnerable situations

• Rigorous, autonomous, and comfortable working remotely with content in multiple languages

• Arabic is a major asset

• Knowledge of the French-British border context is a plus

• Commitment: Flexible, depending on availability

• Compensation: Volunteer position for now — we want to be transparent about this. As our funding develops, we aim to compensate contributors fairly
